Professional Land Surveyor, PS

Driggs Design Group, PA is searching for a Professional Land Surveyor to expand our existing surveying capabilities. This individual is expected to assist and provide surveying expertise on a wide variety of projects undertaken by Driggs Design Group, PA. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and self-driven individual to acquire a leadership position in a rapidly growing company. The preferred candidate would be a Kansas licensed surveyor or have the ability to become licensed within a year. Additional information pertaining to the position is as follows:


Job Description:

     · Complete all office and field operations for a variety of surveying projects including topographic and engineering design surveys, boundary surveys and construction layout

     · Must be able to work in an outdoor environment in varying weather conditions

     · Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds, and have the ability to occasionally carry up to 50 pounds

     · Prepare electronic base maps, legal descriptions, exhibits and survey drawings as required

     · Must be self-motivated and have the ability to manage daily client surveying needs

     · Require little supervision, must have strong communication and organizational skills

     · Must be willing to mentor and supervise survey technicians

     · Prepare survey scopes and fee estimates for internal projects and other project pursuits

     · Manage client schedules and project budgets

     · Perform business development activities to continue company growth

     · Must be able to travel for work, with occasional overnight stays


Skills/Qualifications:

     · Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite

     · Experience with GPS and Robotic Total Stations

     · Kansas Professional Surveying license or able to obtain within a year

     · Excellent oral and written communication skills along with problem solving skills

     · Knowledge and experience with subdivision platting, utility mapping, boundary resolution, section corner recovery and establishment

     · Experience conducting parcel and right of way research
