Driggs Design Group, PA is searching for a Land Survey Technician to expand our existing surveying capabilities. This individual is expected to assist and provide surveying support on a wide variety of projects undertaken by Driggs Design Group, PA. This is a great opportunity for a motivated and self-driven individual to work on a surveying team in a rapidly growing company. The preferred candidate would have a minimum two years land surveying experience. Additional information pertaining to the position is as follows:
Job Description:
· Work under a licensed surveyor to complete office and field operations for a variety of projects including topographic and engineering design surveys, boundary surveys and construction layout
· Must be able to work in an outdoor environment in varying weather conditions
· Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and have the ability to walk long distances
· Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work as part of a team
· Must maintain good attendance, be punctual, able to start early and work late
· Must be able to travel for work, with occasional overnight stays
· Willing to learn how to operate various surveying equipment including GPS, robotic total stations and data collectors
Skills/Qualifications:
· Two years surveying experience is preferable, training will be provided regardless of current experience level
· Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
· Have good mathematical knowledge and be able to work with fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions
· Experience with Microsoft Office suite
· Experience with AutoCAD is preferable but not necessary
· Willing to pursue additional training and educational opportunities
